- In the past I have shown you Arts and Culture and using the Google 3-D viewers (https://www.theolycenter.org/vr.html)
Here is an explanation of A & C from Google. It is an overlooked Gem of a resources. There is content for every department.
- Don’t forget that we all have Nearpod Accts as explained here. Nearpod is an interactive presentation tool that YOU can have total control over ON STUDENT chrome books (more info from Nearpod.com)
- TIPS Cards I do have your new cards for you to refer to any Technology questions you may have. I will get them out to you on Monday during PD. Please bring your old one to replace.
- A few weeks ago I sent out a survey to see who used LanSchool and who wanted training on it. Thank you to everyone who responded. I am hoping to get you trained on Monday during our PD day. If NOT enough teachers are wanting to use it we can take it off the student devices so please let me know.
Yep, Each week something similar to this!
If your monitors have switched for some reason here is how to switch them back!
To change which one is your main screen with all the icons on it...
Getting your Zoom link first.
Zoom links need to be added to
You get to create your own account. Go here to pickatime (https://pickatime.com/granitesd) click the blue button to create a new account. Fill out the info. Use your @graniteschools.org e-mail and I suggest your same AD password.
Then at the top click the "Admin UI" link.
"Pick A Time" has many options and details but you (teachers) really only need to do two (2) things.
Below is a video on how to embed a slide show in a Canvas page.
Think of cross-listing as combing like classes! Be sure to combine the correct classes! You cannot undo this.
It is very important to.
Import from the correct class! Remove due dates!
(If you do not remove them you will be deleting each item individually)
Have no fear - I have other ways of getting you content!
I sent this Monday!
Sending this a day early! Yes most of your teacher computers are set up already… BUT please run updates and check your audio / mics as mentioned below.

Important information about your new microphones, and DVD players in the cabinets!
Here are some basic LAPTOP items
Please ask any questions. There is a lot… I know.
The problem? - It is the inputs to the sound system /amplifier! There are two; one for your microphone and one for your PC. I am looking for a work around but it is time to move past these devices too.
Instead you should be playing DVD's or videos on your computer. Now the question is WHICH COMPUTER?
Or which computer hook up!
Seems like a "no-brainer" to do #1 and use your laptop "as a laptop" as needed.
Don't forget that subs will need access to a computer to play videos as well.
No more VHS
You may notice that none of the options include an analog VHS player. Sorry those are just too old to use anymore.
Here are your options for monitors with your laptop. There is a lot to digest here, I know. Take it one item at a time. Also why record on my phone and not as a screen recording? So you can see the projector as a 3rd monitor! There is one more option NOT here here and that is an actual 3rd "square" monitor that you could mirror to your projector. Pretty that would work too! But do you really want 3 monitors on your desk? Two monitors and your laptop.
Tired of typing your password so many time to get back in to your computer? You now have options!
Or, just watch the video!
Keep in mind... the more sign in options you use the less secure your device is.
