LanSchool TEACHER is on each teacher machine in each lab and teacher computer who WANT to use it with THEIR Chromebooks. To open it use the tray on the bottom right and click the Green pearl necklace. Then click on it in the tray. Crazy right?
LanSchool STUDENT is on every student computer in the building including chromebooks. IT is not on any teacher computers.

Here is an update and reminder of what I am or will be telling you!
LanSchool on a Chromebook has it’s flaws. So here are the quick and easy BEST Practices.
Keep in mind that NOTHING is better than a teacher and student conversation. I am happy to intervene with any technology issues and will take a chromebook from a student if need be.

LanSchool on a Chromebook has it’s flaws. So here are the quick and easy BEST Practices.
- Re-load your class list as often as needed.
- Don’t forget to “dismiss” the class… I have not tried the timer yet… that is new
- Click "Limit web" dropdown arrow then “Configure Web Limiting”. Go toS:\Olympus_Sr\From Keith\LanSchool Lists and load the list. Feel free to load that list then edit it as YOU want, but SAVE IT for next time!
- Do NOT try to block sites… there are just too many of them.
- You CAN block all students or just a few but it must be done at the same time. So block them all!
- IF you are missing some students. They probably logged out of their Chromebook and back in. YOU will need to re-load your class list.
- If you take "Snapshots" of their screens… DO NOT change the file name – it has all the important Data.
- To see one student full screen. Double click on them. To get out of it go to “Monitor” menu and “Stop viewing”
- To see a list of their names... click on view all
- Yes, you can send messages to students.
