- There is no need to use Zoom. Is it better? I do not know, but it is not approved and we have tools to use. Please stay consistent and use the tools GSD provides, don't make it harder for you students and parents.
Canvas
What would a student do with a work doc on a Chromebook? Okay they would view it or open as Google Doc. So why don't you save the 180 steps and do it for them. From Canvas you should be linking to your own Google docs. the best reason is that your document is live and if you make changes students will see the change right away!
If you are convinced that Word is better I would agree. BUT Not for working with students in Canvas! You can also save your Word doc as a pdf. Just go to File - Save As - and select .pdf That preserves all the formatting you used and makes it open on any device. IF you make a change. You need to save it again as a .pdf then replace the one you uploaded.
1) Use Google docs. 2) pdf. 3) Word docs only if needed as a word doc in a special situation.
