Google Drive and Chrome are different things to log in to!

Google Drive

Is a website that stores files. Go to Google.com and sign in.  You can sign in using different browsers or apps.
Accesses.
  • Documents
  • G-mail
  • All other Apps

Chrome

Is software that can store specific and personal information. Go to settings/people.  Use "Manage People" to log in with a second profile
Accesses
  • Browser settings
  • Bookmarks
  • Extensions/Tools
  • Personal Settings (auto fill)
  • Open pages (History) on other devices.

Thoughts!

  • Logging in to a Chromebook logs in you in to BOTH Google Drive AND Chrome.
  • You CAN log in to TWO windows of Chrome (and Drive) with different accounts. No need to log out of one account to access another.
  • You CAN log in to Chrome (or Drive) with a personal account on a school Chomebook AFTER you log in to the Chromebook with your GSD account.  But you cannot log in to the Device.
  • You can easily confuse yourself if you are logged in twice to different browsers!
